Merry Christmas

Image
Hello Everyone     Merry Christmas ! This week was GREAT! Christmas was pretty good, a little different being away from home and spending it with my 2 companions I've only known for 2 weeks haha yet they are the BEST and great examples to me. I love them! On Christmas we took cookies to people and sang carols which was festive and fun. It brought me joy giving back to the wonderful people in our area. Amazing members from the spanish branch had us over for Christmas dinner and spoiled us ! My favorite part was sharing a message of Christ with them. This Christmas was a bit different however it was a time for me to reflect on the real gift of Christmas which is the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.  These Scriptures have helped me ponder how Christ is The light, The life, and The hope of the world. 1 Corinthians 15:19-23, Moroni 7:41 . Hola,Familia y Amigos     The Time has come and I’m just about done with home MTC. I’m excited and ready for the next adventures that await in California. Hopefully my spanish will get better as I continue to learn. I’ve come a long way in 6 weeks and I know it's through the help of my Heavenly Father.  Home MTC has been a great blessing. BIG thanks to my awesome Dad who patiently helped me every night with my spanish. And my mom who always took the time to help me with anything I needed.      I’m grateful for all the prayers, notes, emails and special gifts I’ve received from friends and family. Thank you for all your love and support, I appreciate everyone of you!      As I’ve  been thinking about Christmas I want to share a quote from Elder Bednar “May the beautiful lights of every Christmas season remind us of Him who is the source of all light.” May we always look to the light of Christ and strive to be more like him and follow his ex...

Thanksgiving

The time has gone by so fast I have 13 days left in home MTC. It's a little bit scary but I'm excited! I'm already packed and ready to go haha :) I'm going to miss my district. They’re so awesome. My companion and I have gotten very close.     Thanksgiving was great. I'm glad I got to spend time with my family. My Grandparents came up from Texas which was a blessing and they helped me out with my spanish and I love spending time with them.      My companion and I taught a lesson about Apostasy to a brother from Honduras which was a little tricky to teach in spanish but it was a good challenge. I’ve learned that we don't grow by staying in our comfort zone. I sometimes don't say much because I don’t want to  mess up or sound dumb,  but that's the point we grow by making mistakes and trying our best. My testimony grows each day as I turn to our Heavenly Father and Savoir for guidance.      I’m looking forward to and love the month of  ...
