Easter

Hello everyone!

 

 

The past few weeks have been great and the general conference this easter weekend was definitely awesome. One theme I loved about this conference were the talks on kindness. Kindness is something the world needs more of right now ! Kindness goes a long way and it doesn't take much effort, just a smile or a kind word can make all the difference.  The announcement of 20 new temples was super cool, especially Wyoming getting another temple! so exciting and what a blessing to the cowboy state!

 

 

Great things are happening here in sunny California. We are teaching lots of great people whom I've grown to love. 

 

 

The other day my companion and I were walking to visit some people( we walk a ton now that we have to share the car) and we passed one of our friends' houses and we had the impression that we needed to stop. We found their abuela (grandma) crying so we said a prayer with her. As we were saying the prayer I  felt overwhelmed with the feeling that our Heavenly Father is SO aware of us, he hears our cries. What are the chances that we were in that same neighborhood & this sweet lady needed comfort and we felt impressed to stop. That is how the lord works ! it's God's timing and it's a beautiful thing when we follow the spirit. 

 

 

On a funny note we got chased by a drunk man the other day, he chased us across the street ! It's a good thing I always carry my pocket knife lol thanks to my Dad ! 

My new companion Hermana Ripoll  is awesome !! she makes me eggs and yummy domician food. She is from the domnican republic and her spanish is perfect which is a huge help and blessing for me.I'm positive the mission president was inspired to give me the best spanish speaker in the mission !   l LOVE her !! Another exciting thing is we get to finally attend church   in person for the first time on Sunday !! SO ready for it :)

Hello Everyone     This week has been awesome. We've been busy finding new friends and working in the office, I'm amazed at how we are able to accomplish our goals each week. On Saturday we received a referral and went to visit the family, however when we arrived at the apartment the man that answered the door said we had the wrong address. Of course we didn't turn away but we shared a message with him and invited him to church Sunday. We were surprised when we saw him walk in the doors Sunday. I was SO EXCITED ! I know the Lord has a plan for everyone and this young man took a leap of faith from what little he knew about the church, he felt something and wanted to learn more. It's hard sometimes to get our friends to come to church but then little miracles happen like this and I'm reminded that this is the Lord's work and our job as missionaries is to help people feel the spirit. 2 Baptisms & Christmas!

Hello Everyone   So many great things happened the last few weeks, First of all we had 2 baptisms last week !  Pablo got baptized and we are so happy for him! He is such a light ! He wants to serve a mission and has such a strong testimony. His baptism was scheduled for sunday but he was leaving town to go work and so we hurried and got his baptism together in 3 hours !  Then are friend Kevin was baptized by his father. His family is so humble and kind. I was so grateful to be a part of his special day.    We are teaching a really great family and they had a daughter that just turned 8 so they invited us to her party. I Love to teach these little girls. It's been so fun to watch them learn about the gospel. My companion and I made a ton of sugar cookie cut outs and used them in our lessons for the kids & they love it !  I can't get away from making cookies haha  We are also teaching a neat...

6 MONTHS!!!

Hola!     Well I'm at my 6 month mark and I can't even believe it ! Time flies when you're  having fun !!      San Jose is the place to be and I'm enjoying my new assignment. The office has been pretty great so far, very different from what I'm used to but I'm learning the ropes fast. It's amazing what the church is doing with social media these days, we are able to reach so many people this way. I've been put in charge of the instagram(Spanish page) for our mission. I also instruct other missionaries on the use of their instagram page, and help them learn how to share the gospel on social media. It's been a unique part of the mission so far! We are still teaching some great people here in San Jose and I'm excited when we get to leave the office to  go teach ! My new companion is Hermana Yoder from Boise Idaho. She's super cute ! She produces all  the spanish videos for the social media pages and I'm her sidekick :)      I LOVE bein...
