Hola!!!!

Hello everyone


 SO sorry it's been awhile, mission life has been SO busy lots to catch you up on. First of all I got to go fishing !!! it was just like home (kinda) haha but seriously so fun to catch some fish. A member in San Cruz takes the missionaries fishing and we got permission from the president to go on pday ! It was a blast ! 
My companion Sister Lucas is the best. We have so much fun together, We cover the English and Spanish wards which has been such a blessing. I love the members they always make sure we are ok and fed  !!  They pray for us,love us and help us be better missionaries. l truly feel cared for, loved and blessed:)


  A major highlight this week was working with Elder Nash. He's a member of the 70'S and is kinda the main man in charge of the  missionary department for the church ! We got to spend the entire week with him as he toured the mission! Yes I'm still in the social media district so we set up all the conferences/zoom meetings etc. with the other missionaries in the mission. We had a 3 hour incredibly spiritual meeting with him and the mission president. We talked about social media, data, ads, and programming. I got to present to him with a power point  all the work I've been doing  with social media (facebook /instagram)  and ads I have done.  It was awesome! He even offered some of us jobs after our missions working for the church ! haha


He explained to us how we are pioneers for new missionary work using technology and how missionary work will be spread throughout the world as we continue to use technology.  It's definitely a new era with missionary work and I'm so grateful to be a part of this !!! It's a very unique part of my mission, very difficult at times but SO rewarding.


  Our mission has the most finds in the entire U.S. so that's super cool !! We really use social media to find friends who are interested in learning more about the church. I've been able to chat with people and share my testimony with people from all over the world. It's amazing !!
So this week definitely has been a mission highlight. I've been learning and growing so much and have had some awesome experiences working in the social media district. There are 8 of us and we are such a close group I'm going to miss them all when it's time to transfer !!


  In closing I want to share with you my love of the Book Of Mormon .We have a friend we are teaching named Gerardo and on our second lesson with him we asked if he has been able to read the Book Of Mormon . He explained that he had only read the first few pages yet he felt so much peace and just knew it was special. I love that he recognized the peace he felt. The Book of mormon brings me peace and I know that as we try to learn from it the Lord will give us that peace and reassurance that these teachings are true. I testify of this daily and grateful for the opportunity to  help others feel this peace in their lives.

Hello Everyone     This week has been awesome. We've been busy finding new friends and working in the office, I'm amazed at how we are able to accomplish our goals each week. On Saturday we received a referral and went to visit the family, however when we arrived at the apartment the man that answered the door said we had the wrong address. Of course we didn't turn away but we shared a message with him and invited him to church Sunday. We were surprised when we saw him walk in the doors Sunday. I was SO EXCITED ! I know the Lord has a plan for everyone and this young man took a leap of faith from what little he knew about the church, he felt something and wanted to learn more. It's hard sometimes to get our friends to come to church but then little miracles happen like this and I'm reminded that this is the Lord's work and our job as missionaries is to help people feel the spirit. 2 Baptisms & Christmas!

Hello Everyone   So many great things happened the last few weeks, First of all we had 2 baptisms last week !  Pablo got baptized and we are so happy for him! He is such a light ! He wants to serve a mission and has such a strong testimony. His baptism was scheduled for sunday but he was leaving town to go work and so we hurried and got his baptism together in 3 hours !  Then are friend Kevin was baptized by his father. His family is so humble and kind. I was so grateful to be a part of his special day.    We are teaching a really great family and they had a daughter that just turned 8 so they invited us to her party. I Love to teach these little girls. It's been so fun to watch them learn about the gospel. My companion and I made a ton of sugar cookie cut outs and used them in our lessons for the kids & they love it !  I can't get away from making cookies haha  We are also teaching a neat...

6 MONTHS!!!

Hola!     Well I'm at my 6 month mark and I can't even believe it ! Time flies when you're  having fun !!      San Jose is the place to be and I'm enjoying my new assignment. The office has been pretty great so far, very different from what I'm used to but I'm learning the ropes fast. It's amazing what the church is doing with social media these days, we are able to reach so many people this way. I've been put in charge of the instagram(Spanish page) for our mission. I also instruct other missionaries on the use of their instagram page, and help them learn how to share the gospel on social media. It's been a unique part of the mission so far! We are still teaching some great people here in San Jose and I'm excited when we get to leave the office to  go teach ! My new companion is Hermana Yoder from Boise Idaho. She's super cute ! She produces all  the spanish videos for the social media pages and I'm her sidekick :)      I LOVE bein...
