Hola From Salinas :)

Hello Friends and Family,
This week has been awesome !  Our friends Karen, Crystal and Eric got baptized !!  Karen and Crystal are sisters ages 8 & 14 .Really neat story with the oldest sister Karen who's 14 .She had a fracture in her knee and some other things and was going to have surgery, the x-rays showed a fracture and she had an upcoming appointment. We asked her if she would like a priesthood blessing and she said yes ! A member came to give her a blessing and 2 days later she went to Stanford hospital for her appointment and her knee was completely healed !! What a tender mercy from the lord ! She was grateful for this wonderful spiritual experience. This experience also helped to grow her faith !
Their Uncle Eric didn't want to have anything to do with us at first when we came to teach the girls, but I guess he had been listening to our lessons in the other room. He started to join our lessons and ask questions and decided he too wanted to be baptized with his nieces. Their Mom really wants to be baptized soon and I have no doubt that she will follow in her daughters footsteps.  This is the most amazing, loving & humble family. I just love them SO much!

We have another baptism for this sunday, an amazing young mom who is ready !! She reads the Book of Mormon on her work breaks and just is on fire !!

Our mission made a goal to read the entire Book Of  Mormon in 1 transfer,(6 weeks) as I have been reading I have learned so much it's been a great experience to read together as a mission. I LOVE reading it ! This is a scripture I have recently read and love.
Alma 27:18 "Now was not this an exceeding joy? Behold, this is joy which none receiveth save it be the truly penitent and humble seeker of happiness." The joy we read about in the scriptures only comes when we learn about God and come closer to him.

Watching our friends get baptised this week was a beautiful experience. It's amazing to witness the change in people as they learn more about God and his great plan for us.

I'm grateful everyday for the opportunity I get to share the gospel, to help bring others to Christ and to testify of him and his love he has for each one of us.

I hope you all have a wonderful week :)
